THE OLD FAITHFUL VISITOR CENTER

The Visitor Education Center was built to minimize its impact on the natural surroundings and is a LEED certified building.

The Old Faithful Visitor Education Center opened in 2010 and features exhibits on Yellowstone’s hydrothermal features (geysers, hot springs, mudpots, and steam vents or fumaroles), life in these extreme environments, the volcano beneath Yellowstone, and ongoing scientific research in one of the greatest living laboratories on Earth.

OVER 3 MILLION VISITORS each year get to see our work on this living lab in a high tech facility.

OLD FAITHFUL INN

As a national historic landmark, Old Faithful Inn is the most requested lodging facility in the park. Built in 1903-1904 with local logs and stone, the Inn is considered the largest log structure in the world. The towering lobby features a massive stone fireplace and a hand-crafted clock made of copper, wood and wrought iron serving as focal points. With 327 rooms, a beautiful loby and the famous crows nest ceiling this job had its challenges. Tiley roofing had to fix the roof while leaving it structurally in tact.
